Some Facts and Common Questions about the Fair

When was the Fair started?
The concept of the Fair started out as a plan to have an International Meet for collectors in July of 2003. The plan soon shifted gears and became the MLP Fair the first official Convention for My Little Pony.

How many people attend the Fair?
In past years between 150-350 have passed through the doors. On average the Fair hosts around 200 collectors known on the online pony community plus countless locals who's join the fun. Each year the number grows!

Who are Bay Breeze, Trolley & Frisco?
These three are all exclusives to the My Little Pony Fair. More information can be found on these ponies on the Fair Exclusives page! For 2007 & 2008 the Convention received more exclusives from Hasbro!

Are there any other My Little Pony conventions?
The Fair is the only Convention Hosted in the US however there is also the UK Ponycon as well as a German & Australian Convention.

Who plans the event?
The Fair is planned each year by a staff of volunteers.

Do I have to be a collector to attend
Anyone can attend the Fair you do not have to be a collector of the Toy. Everyone is welcome!

Am I allowed to sell merchandise at the Fair?
In order to sell anything at the Fair you must purchase a Vendor pass. Vendor Pass holders will have a booth to sell items at. If you simply wish to view what's for sale, display or join in the events you can purchase a General Admission Pass. Both can be found on our registration page with further details.

Are there any events for kids?
Although children are welcome at the Fair, the convention is geared towards adult collectors.

Is Hasbro involved with the Fair?
Hasbro's involvement has grown over the years. In 2007 Hasbro attended the Fair and brought along original back card artwork. We were also pleased to have the Director of the girls line speak about upcoming releases and plans for the MLP line. This year the Fair is being held minutes away from Hasbro's Corporate headquarters. We will be receiving a tour of Hasbro as well as having a Panel of designers and marketing staff. Bonnie Zacherie, the original designer of My Little Pony will be speaking at the convention as well. In past years Hasbro has been so kind to donate ponies to the event for the 2005 & 2006 events.
